This spacious bedroom was underutilized until swivel chairs and table were placed at the window offering a view overlooking the pool or for TV watching. The bedroom set's original night tables were too wide expanding over the windows beside the bed. I found 18" night tables stained in the same finish. The larger night tables were moved directly in front of the windows of the guest room downstairs.
Appealing to the senses and removing obstructions to access add to bath functionality. Bath in pastels was seldom used until framed mirror with shelf and hand-painted landscape were installed. Bath in earth tones had a linen closet door that hit the entry door. Linen closet door was removed and trimmed out with warm wood stain. The entry door was replaced with a pocket door.
This bath in neutrals had a rustic mirror with 70s cabinetry. An easy fix was to paint the cabinets, replace hardware and replace faux marble counter top with quartz. A perfect piece of art already existed in the water closet. Vertically installed glass & stone tile flanking the shower enclosure gives the effect of stepping through a waterfall into the shower. This master bath connects to the water-themed master bedroom retreat.
